Description
Burtukaana means “orange” in the Oromiffa language, and this is the concept we use to describe the flavour profile of this coffee. Burtukaana coffees are round, citric, with stone fruit notes, and good structure overall.
This coffee comes from the dry station located in the Goro Bedessa town (kebele) of Hambela Wamena. The washing station is located at 2350 masl and due to the high potential the area shows for high-quality coffee, they decided to name the station Galano – a nickname that refers to the Spanish word for “elegant man”. The cherries that contributed to this lot have been produced by 76 single farmers who are located in the surroundings of the dry station.
Due to the high altitudes where these coffees are grown, the quality we have seen is outstanding regardless of the screen size of the beans.
